Importing V4 Presets for use with Soundtoys 5

Last Updated: Jan 10, 2017 01:53PM EST
If you upgraded from a Soundtoys V4 product to Soundtoys 5, you might notice that the presets have been rearranged. We changed preset directories from
Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Soundtoys
-
to-
Macintosh HD/Users/Shared/Soundtoys/Soundtoys 5

Our programmers made a handy script to import all of your presets in one fell swoop. Here are some instructions:

Mac:
1. Open up the Terminal app on your computer (it can be found in the following folder:
Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities)

2. In the Terminal window, copy and paste this line, and then hit enter:
cd /Applications/Soundtoys/Utilities

3. Then, copy and paste this line, and hit enter:
sh CopyV4Presets.sh

4. Wait for the script to finish running, then notice that all of your V4 presets will show up in a new folder inside of your Soundtoys 5 plug-ins. Enjoy!

PC:
Double-click on the "CopyV4Presets" batch file in C:\Program Files\Soundtoys\Utilities, or in C:\Program Files (x86)\Soundtoys\Utilities if you used the 32-bit installer. Any V4 presets you had will now show up in each V5 plug-in's preset manager under a "V4Archive" folder.
