How to Use a Discount Code

Are you an excited soon-to-be Soundtoys customer in possession of a Discount Code that seems too good to be true? If so, then you've come to the right place! Using your Discount Code is easy and fast - you just need to keep a sharp eye out during checkout to make sure your Discount Code is applied properly.

When To Apply My Discount Code

In this example, we will use the "HOLIDAYHEAT" Discount Code to get a free license for Little Radiator.

  1. First, we will add Little Radiator to our cart, then click Checkout.
  2. After clicking Checkout, a new tab or window will pop up.
    1. If the Checkout opens a new tab in your browser, you will see the option to enter your Discount Code on the right hand side of the screen.

    2. If the Checkout button opens a new window instead, you will need to click the blue text that says "Enter Discount Code / Show Order". After that, you will see the option to enter your Discount Code.

  3. After entering your code, click "Apply". Once you've done that, your total should now show the updated price (in this example, the total will be $0 USD).
  4. You can now continue to use Express Checkout (PayPal, Google Pay, etc.). Alternatively, enter your Contact Information manually below the Express Checkout section, then click "Continue To Payment" once you've entered all the necessary info.
  5. You're done! Enjoy your new Soundtoys plug-in!

Why am I Still Seeing a Charge When Using PayPal?

If you are seeing a charge when using PayPal via the Express Checkout option, no need to worry. After you finish entering your information in the PayPal window, you will be redirected back to Shopify to complete your order, where you will be able to confirm the charge will be $0. You also have another opportunity to enter your Discount Code just in case you missed it the first time.

After making your purchase and confirming that the final checkout showed the correct discounted price, you may see a temporary hold on funds in PayPal, but that hold should disappear after a short time.
